I build it with your engineers rather than beside them, so the team can change it after I leave. You get evals in continuous integration, tracing, a cost per outcome your finance team can read and a rollback path.

What this is

Ninety days, one process, in production. The measure of success is written into the statement of work before the first day.

What you keep

The workflow, the eval suite, the traces, and an engineer on your team who has built it with me and can change it without me.

Where this maps to a standard

Evals in CI apply the MEASURE function (one of the framework's four functions) inside the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF). The scope is one production workflow, not a whole AI programme. A dashboard with cost per outcome is evidence a customer's security team can check, not a claim they have to trust.

AI Readiness & Risk Assessment

This AI readiness assessment takes two weeks of interviews and reading your systems, ending in a memo your board can act on. Two weeks. I interview the people doing the work and read your systems and your vendor list. I write one memo you can hand to a board or a customer.

What you keep

You keep one document, whether or not you continue. It holds the readiness score, the gap list, and the three processes ranked by what automating them is worth this quarter.

ISO/IEC 42001 gap assessment

The gap list compares your company with ISO/IEC 42001, the standard for an AI management system that an accredited body can certify. It shows where you fall short of what the standard asks.

This is a gap assessment, not a certification. An accredited body runs the independent audit that grants certification, and the certification FAQ covers the difference between a working system and a certificate.

Why it is two weeks and not two days

A readiness claim you cannot show evidence for is worth nothing in a security review. I read the code, talk to the people who use the tools, and check what your vendors actually do with your data. Two weeks is the shortest span in which I can do all three.

Fractional CAIO Retainer

This fractional CAIO retainer buys one or two days a week as the AI officer your customers can ask for by name. The week is procurement answers, design reviews and a board update, in that order of urgency. The engagement is built to end: there is a handover plan from the first month.

What this is

One or two days a week, on the record, as your AI officer. Every week follows the same order: procurement, design, the board.

How it ends

With an internal owner and written decisions. The handover plan exists from the first month, not the last.

What the register maps to

The register, policy and classification are the GOVERN function (one of the framework's four functions) of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF). The scope is one company, not a whole sector. ISO/IEC 42001 asks for the same three documents inside a certified management system. This retainer keeps them current without pursuing the certification.
